Curriculum-linked oral health lessons, with nothing to prepare

The Whole Bite Club is a unit for schools and early learning centres built around an in-school visit from Oral Health Home. Registered oral health therapists teach the class, run small-group brushing practice and check every child’s teeth.

    Every lesson is written out in full, with guiding questions, vocabulary, differentiation and worksheets.

    Written against Health and Physical Education in the Australian Curriculum Version 9.0.

  • The visit is the hook

    Registered oral health therapists run the whole-class show, the small groups and the check-ups.

How the program works

The visit runs in four parts. Your classroom lessons build on each of them.

  1. Play & Learn

    A 30-minute interactive show with puppets and big tooth models that gets the whole class joining in.

  2. Discover

    Children find out what their different teeth do, feel food textures, and try biting and chewing for themselves.

  3. Practice

    Small groups of four to six children practise brushing and flossing with an oral health therapist beside them.

  4. Receive

    Each child has an oral health check, including how their teeth bite together, and then takes home a free toothbrush + toothpaste pack. With consent, they also have a remineralising varnish.
